Zach Hillard and his wife, Mary Ann, are both graduates of Monticello High School. They have three children currently enrolled in Monticello Schools. Zach has been on the BOE since 2013.

Sarah was appointed to the Board of Education in August 2012.

Sarah received a bachelor's degree in agricultural communications from the University of Illinois in 1995. Following graduation, she started her career as assistant director of development in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) with responsibility for coordinating the College's annual giving program. In 1998, she became director of alumni relations for the College of ACES and was responsible for administering and managing the College's alumni programs. She received a master of education focusing on higher education administration in 2000. After spending over 11 years in the College's Office of Advancement, she stepped away in 2006 to be at home with their children.

Sarah was raised in Logan County and graduated from Mt. Pulaski High School. She and her husband, Jeremy, have lived in the district since 2007. They are the parents of three children, Mary Grace, William, and Rachel.

Sarah serves on the Board of Directors for the Kirby Foundation. She teaches Sunday School and also volunteers within her children's schools.

Kathy, a Monticello High School graduate, attended the University of Illinois and received her BFA in graphic design. She and her husband, Brian, moved out of state but returned to Monticello in 2009 to take advantage of the local school system for their two children: Cora, a senior, and Cole, a sophomore, both at MHS. Kathy is currently a freelance graphic designer and is actively involved in various community organizations. 

Julie grew up in LaPorte, Indiana where she graduated from LaPorte High School. She went on to receive her undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 2001 and her Masters in Nonprofit Administration from North Park University in 2012. She earned her Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation in 2009 and holds certificates in Nonprofit Management, Board Governance & Organizational Development. Before moving to Monticello in 2013, Julie and her husband, Seth, lived in Champaign where she worked for Provena Covenant Medical Center, University of Illinois and the Eastern Illinois Foodbank. Julie currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Richland Community College as well as Adjunct Faculty at North Park University. Julie and Seth are the parents of two children, Mady and Avery, who both attend Monticello schools.

Tara grew up in St. John, Indiana where she graduated from Lake Central High School.  She went on to receive her undergraduate degree from Indiana University and her law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 2001.  Before moving to Monticello in 2013, Tara and her husband, Jim, lived in San Diego, CA where she worked as an attorney for twelve (12) years.  Tara is currently an attorney with the Law Offices of Suzanne Wells in Monticello and is involved in various community organizations.  Tara and Jim are the parents of two (2) children:  Emily, age 10 and Lauren, age 8 who both attend Monticello schools. Tara has been a member of the BOE wince 2019. 

Marc grew up in and graduated from high school in Argenta, Illinois, and received his degree from Millikin University. Marc and his wife Lisa are parents of five children: Drew, Adison, Anya, Brixton and Luke - the oldest three are attending Monticello schools. Marc, Lisa and family lived in Kansas City before returning to Monticello in 2013.
