Sage Parents-
Please go to this link for our 2020-21 Full School Re-Opening Plan. The plan offers an option for every enrolled student/parent to choose the In-School Learning Plan or the At-Home Learning Plan. This plan has been developed after considering input from school administration, faculty and staff, parents, students, ISBE/IDPH guidance, and several surveys. School districts across the state are planning to re-open in different ways – there is no perfect plan – we feel that our current plan follows safety guidance and meets the needs/desires of most of our district stakeholders (that’s everyone who is affected by school). The 2020-21 Full School Re-Opening Plan will be discussed and considered for approval at the regular Monticello CUSD #25 School Board meeting to be held at Monticello Middle School at 7:00PM on Wednesday, July 29. All regular school board meetings are open to the public and include a time for public participation for those in attendance. For those not attending that want to provide public comment please send comments to me at zimvi@sages.us or to the board at schoolboard@sages.us. Emailed comments will be shared as part of public participation. Due to COVID19 concerns, social distancing will be required – masking is required for anyone unable to adequately social distance. Pending school board approval, on Friday, July 31, all parents will receive an email asking if you wish to opt-out of the In-School Learning Plan into the At-Home Learning Plan for your student. The deadline for your decision is Noon, on August 12, in order that we may plan for the 2020-21 school year. We plan to have a district-wide parent Zoom meeting on Monday, August 3 at 6:30PM to answer questions on both plans. Information will be shared in the July 31 parent email regarding this meeting. We appreciate your patience as we move forward. We are all looking forward to the start of the 2020-21 school year.
If you have specific questions, please send them to me at zimvi@sages.us.
It’s a Great Day to be a Sage!
